Position Overview.

We are seeking a Supervisor of Insurance Clearance.

In this position, the Insurance Clearance Supervisor will provide day-to-day supervision of the insurance clearance activities performed by the Insurance Clearance Department. Duties and responsibilities of the Supervisor include, but are not limited to:

  • (1) supervise insurance reconciliation staff and department training.
  • (2) assist insurance reconciliation department leadership and participate in the overall planning, organization, and direction of the department.
  • (3) work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders of the company.
  • (4) Assist in the overall planning, organization, and direction of the department.

Job Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for the supervision of the insurance clearance staff and works with the Insurance Clearance Manager to support all initiatives of the department.
  • Understands and maintains current knowledge of Financial Clearance/Intake processes and systems, regulatory and third-party payer issues, and automated payer systems.
  • Demonstrates creativity in proposing changes to managers and supports implementation of such changes once approved.
  • Attend service and staff meetings within the department to ensure staff compliance with services and competencies.
  • Coordinate activities and resources to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
  • Performs routine quality monitoring to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and comprehensiveness of information collected and documented to ensure reimbursement.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Develop and maintain productivity standards for areas of direct responsibility and monitor compliance with those standards.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to staff in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Promotes a positive attitude and works closely with staff to ensure exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, medical staff, visitors, and all hospital colleagues.
  • Provide orientation, training, and continuing education to staff.
  • Act as a mentor, guide, group developer and facilitator.
  • Create training tools to address performance deficiencies and explain process changes.
  • Adhere to compliance and department policies and procedures, including 100% compliance with HIPAA requirements, required training, and other hospital mandated activities.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Minimum Qualifications.

Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum 2-3 years of medical experience, including supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Extraordinary correspondence and hierarchical abilities are required. Insurance Clearance Job Vacancy in USA.
