Job Summary
How we make an impact.
You will ensure cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils. You will ensure that the kitchen, work area, and equipment are kept in an orderly and sanitary condition.
As a dishwasher, you will do the following
Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils.
Polishes silver according to procedures and assigned utensils using burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing wheels, and hand cloths.
Maintains dishes and kitchen to ensure utensils are clean, in good working order, and conform to safety standards. Wash surfaces of worktops, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other utensils.
Remove trash and place in designated containers. Steam clean or hose down trash bins.
Assists in loading and unloading supplies, products, and equipment and moving them between storage and work areas.
Other duties as directed.
About You.
- Valid food handler certification or equivalent.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous dishwashing experience preferred (not required)
- Experience working with commercial washers preferred

Qualifications and Education

Experience:

- Understanding and support of the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada and its implications as it relates to the responsibilities of the position
