Opportunities: Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting in the full scope of maintenance and repair of all plant equipment and facilities.

He/she will document plans and results. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting an asset management program focused on current active assets used to improve the reliability of our equipment. Maintenance Technician

  • Duties and Responsibilities.
  • Attend DMP daily Monday through Friday to review safety, 24-hour breakdowns, weekly schedule of preventive maintenance, and projects. Starts with safety moments.
  • Provide direct support to the asset management program, covering six key areas (equipment, people, materials, methods, systems, and culture) to ensure robust and successful solutions.
  • Follow procedures for daily inspection routines built around reliability techniques, testing, cleaning, adjusting, inspecting, lubricating, calibrating, and other tag processes.
  • Ensure stocking of spare parts
  • Prepare the maintenance shop for start-up, refurbishment, and operation according to the asset management workflow.
  • Lead refurbish maintenance (Q) activities
  • Coordinate with equipment suppliers
  • Safely maintain and repair equipment used in the production of underground storage tanks and accessories
  • Accurately utilize purchase records, process charts, and maintenance records.
  • Assist with modifications and adjustments to portable tools, heaters, lift trucks, and other equipment and machinery as needed
  • Assist in the maintenance of electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, water connections and fittings, compressed air systems, air filters, and all heating and cooling equipment throughout the manufacturing plant.
  • Assist with or arrange for maintenance of fire sprinkler systems, static control devices, and fire doors
  • Other related duties as required.
  • Skills and Qualifications
  • DEC in Mechanical Engineering or DEP in Industrial Mechanic or Electrical Mechanic
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Minimum 3-5 years general maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Ability to work weekends as needed
  • Preference will be given to candidates with forklift experience/qualifications/fall protection/aerial lifting experience or certification.
  • General operating skills with tools and equipment and an understanding of conditions that may affect their performance
  • General comprehension of building and hardware upkeep, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry
  • Ability to perform basic repairs
  • Ability to rebuild and perform manual repairs on equipment based on wiring diagrams and equipment manuals
  • Capacity to issue address and give close consideration to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others and work as part of a team
  • Ability to learn new tools and equipment required for the job
  • Capacity to work at levels and in restricted spaces depending on the situation
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time

The Red Cross Medical Equipment Loan Program (HELP) is a community-based service made possible by the support of health authorities, donations of used equipment, and the efforts of hundreds of volunteers and professional staff.

The incumbent will work with medical equipment distribution supervisors and support volunteers to rework, inspect, repair, and deliver basic mobility and bathing equipment to other HELP sites. Furthermore, the occupant will convey and introduce progressed clinical hardware.

  • Educate, instruct, and support clients and caregivers in the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs according to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Document repairs and maintain up-to-date equipment records in inventory management system.
  • Transport equipment between HELP facilities according to established procedures and deliver, install, and pick up equipment from client’s home.
  • Clean and sanitize medical equipment according to standards.
  • We are looking for the following personnel
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with hand tools and basic power tools.
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects up to 80 lbs.
  • Must be mechanically competent and able to troubleshoot technical problems (medical equipment repair experience a plus)
  • Strong verbal communication skills, customer service skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment
